A service user’s family has a shoutout for St Catherine’s Community Nurses. “I am writing to you to express my heartfelt thanks for the support given during the final days of my brother, who died at home. The enthusiasm and professionalism shown by everybody we met, was absolutely fantastic. The staff gave us all the practical and mental support we, his family, needed at that very difficult time, giving us the impression that nothing was too much trouble, at any time. Once again, please accept my heartfelt thanks.”
A patient called the Community Integrated Response Team (CIRT) to pass along a compliment about a CIRT therapy assistant practitioner. The patient said, “he was fantastic, gave her confidence she thought she lost, told her what she can do and not what she can’t do. He is a complete gentleman”
A service user has a shout out to Advanced Dietitian. “I thought you’d be interested in some long-term feedback on the course. Just over 10 months of being on a low carb, low calorie diet (and loads of exercise), I’m over 9 stone lighter, Diabetes is in remission, I’m off 2 of my 3 blood pressure pills and off statins. BMI is 23.5 (first time since I was 16 at this size). The course was really helpful. Thanks for the course and the broader support from the NHS. It does work! Now for the hard work of keeping it off!”

A service user would like to give a shout out for the Macclesfield team – North Locality, Cheshire East 0-19+. The service user wanted to feed back that the drop-in clinic provided by the service is a really lovely place to attend. “The health visiting team are so helpful. I have always had such a lovely experience with all the health visitors. I have seen a few health visitors due to being a mum of 6 and could honestly say I’ve been sad to see them go and don’t feel I would have coped as well without their support. I personally feel I have received the highest standard of care. The friendly help guidance and approach which I feel I have always received and always been happy with the advice given. Thank you to all the 0-19+ North team, they all go over and above to care for families and young people in the North Locality. They are an amazing team.”
A service user’s family has a shout out to Adult Speech and Language Therapy. “Our mother was critically ill in Arrowe Park hospital on the Cardiology ward. She had previously had a brain haemorrhage and the consequences of that were she had speech difficulties therefore, communication with the staff on the ward was restricted and she found it frustrating. A referral was made to Adult Speech and Language therapy and the Speech and Language Therapy Assistant went to visit Mum to help with her needs. As Mum was slowly recovering, she improved and was more aware of what was around her. Mum was supported by Jane who Mum described as ‘lovely’ and ‘laughed’ (remembering she could not use full sentences to describe/talk). Mum valued this help and was able to use their ideas as she felt better.
