Chair Professor Michael Brown CBE DL and Chief Executive Karen Howell have expressed their extreme sadness on the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and extend their deepest condolences to the Royal Family on behalf of everyone at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Trust.
We are deeply sorry to hear of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. We offer our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family, and to everyone for whom this news will cause immense sadness.
For more than seven decades, Her Majesty has been a constant source of strength for the country and people around the world, particularly in the Commonwealth, and her unswerving commitment to public service during her reign is an example of the finest generosity, humility and compassion in humankind.
It was our proudest moment when she awarded NHS staff the George Cross earlier this year, for their compassion and courage over the last 74 years but particularly during the pandemic.
Honouring her memory will continue to inspire us all, and we look forward to joining with colleagues, friends and family over coming days to pay tribute to her immense contribution to our society and community.
