About the Enhancing Families Programme
The Enhancing Families Programme is for families requiring additional support. It is based around the ‘Incredible Years Programme’, which has been developed using over 30 years of research.
The Enhancing Families Team will support you along your parenting journey from pregnancy until your child turns 2 years old.
You will be allocated a specialist nurse who will take on the role of your Health Visitor and will work alongside you to support you to have a healthy pregnancy. The team will also support your child’s development and help them reach their full potential, as well as focussing on your own journey to achieve your own aspirations.
Throughout your journey you will receive 17 visits from your specialist nurse. Working together you will focus on:
- child development
- physical and emotional development
- positive attachment between yourself and baby
- baby’s brain development
- how baby’s regulate and communicate their needs
